Rockstar Games' hotly anticipated open-world crime thriller Grand Theft Auto VI hasn't been heard from since its debut trailer in early December, but fans are confident they've found an indication of the timing of the game's next announcement.

As noted by user Top_Information3534 from the Reddit forum, the publisher Take-Two Interactive Software recently revealed the date of its next financial report – on May 16, the company will report results for the fourth quarter of the 2024 fiscal year.
Fans suspect that the next announcement about GTA VI – be it a new screenshot, a second trailer, or the disclosure of this or that information about the project – should be expected during this time period.
The publication of Take-Two's financial results is often preceded by an announcement from Rockstar Games: for example, on November 8, the studio announced plans to show the first trailer for GTA VI, and the publisher presented a report for the second quarter of the 2024 fiscal year.
Another example: on May 22, 2017, Rockstar postponed the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 to the spring of 2018 (in fact, the game was released in the fall), and on May 23, Take-Two reported successes for the fourth quarter of the 2017 fiscal year.
In the most recent report in February, Take-Two said that in a document based on the results of the fourth quarter of the 2024 fiscal year, it would reveal plans for the 2025 fiscal year (that is, until April 2025).
The release of GTA VI is officially announced for 2025 in versions for PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Analysts suggest that the game has been delayed to fiscal year 2026 and will not be released before April 2025.
