The Chinese corporation Lenovo has created the first laptop on the market that works simultaneously on Windows and Android.
This is reported by XDA publication.
As it became known to insiders, the ThinkBook Plus computer will have a hybrid case and will be able to transform into a tablet. According to the plan of the developers of the device, in laptop mode the device will run on Windows, in tablet mode – on Android.
It is known that the gadget will have a detachable keyboard and a touchscreen display that can be rotated 360 degrees.
Detailed specifications of the device have not been revealed, but it is reported that the ThinkBook Plus will receive a high-speed Oculink port that will compete with Thunderbolt 3. By comparison, Oculink 2 can provide data transfer speeds of up to 16 gigabits per second, while Thunderbolt 3 is only five gigabits per second.
The cost of ThinkBook Plus is not disclosed. Lenovo is likely to announce the device at CES-2024 in January.
