IT companies in Ukraine began to actively reserve against the mobilization of their employees. Yes, as of January 29, 3,498 citizens of Aitiv have been booked through the Ministry of Statistics.
Of the mentioned number, approximately 1,500 specialists are on rebooking, and in addition, more than 600 IT specialists are awaiting approval from the ministries. This was reported by representatives of the Diya.City project office.
“The majority of those who are referred by companies for rebooking receive a positive response. The most frequent reasons for refusal are incorrect completion of a package of documents or submission to the reservation of conscripts with outdated military registration data ,” the department noted at the request of the DOU editors.
How the IT booking situation has changed
In comparison, 3,400 IT specialists were booked last September. The Ministry of Statistics notes that the number of reservations is gradually increasing, and it is necessary to take into account those specialists who are currently awaiting final approval from the General Staff and the Ministry of Economy. Currently, 620 citizens of Aitiv are on such a finish line.
” IT companies have become more active in applying for the reservation of their conscripted employees. The fact is that many companies are coming to the end of the reservation period for conscripts, and therefore they apply for re-reservation. Also, new companies are added, which are recognized as critical for the first time, and this gives them the right to book conscript workers,” the ministry added.
As for the IT companies themselves, they are mostly not ready to disclose the number of reserved employees and are waiting for the adoption of the law on mobilization. And those who booked some of their specialists say that the procedure is working, but with its own nuances. For example, processing an application can take a long time.
