World heavyweight champion according to WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO Alexander Usik (21-0; 14 KOs) told why he does not consider the fight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1; 24 KOs) the hardest in his career. He was quoted as saying by Sky Sports Boxing:
– Will this be the hardest fight in your career?
– No.
– Why?
– We haven’t boxed yet.
– Do you think it will be the most difficult when it happens?
– It’s just a sport, it’s boxing. Now we, the Ukrainians, and I personally have the most difficult battle – this is the fight against the enemy who attacked our country.
– How do you manage to focus on your sports career in such emotional times for your country?
– Because in this way I help the guys defending our country. Don't focus on what you don't have, what you can't control.. You need to focus on what you can be the best at,” Usyk said.
Let us recall that earlier Usik gave a brief psychological description of Fury.
