AC Milan captain Davide Calabria's future at his home club is in limbo.
As SempreMilan reports with reference to Corriere dello Sport, negotiations between the parties to extend the cooperation have been suspended.
The reason for this decision is said to be the 27-year-old Italian's excessive salary demands – Milan is not ready to satisfy his requests.
The Rossoneri are considering the feasibility of extending the agreement, which runs until the summer of 2025.
According to the source, the Italian team wants to look for a stronger right-back position on the transfer market.

A decision on Calabria's contract will be made closer to the end of the season. If Milan does not renew the player, the club will try to sell him in the summer in order to get at least some money for him.
Let us remind you that Milan forward Olivier Giroud recently agreed on a contract with the MLS team, which he will join after this season.
