Acting head coach of Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky refused to give a flash interview after his team defeated Kryvbas (2:0) in the 14th round of the UPL.
The Kiev club stated that Shovkovsky had the right to do this, since the “white-blues” are not participants in the telepool.
Yuri Vernidub’s team, in turn, also made a statement, which was published on the club’s official website. It says that the Dynamo coach nevertheless violated the competition regulations, which should entail penalties.
“The Krivbass football club is surprised by the reaction of the Dynamo Kyiv club to the situation that arose after the UPL 14th round match between our teams. After all, the team coach’s refusal to do a post-match flash interview is a direct violation of the competition regulations.”
“Article 50 clearly states that flash interviews for the Official Broadcaster with the head coach and players participating in the match are mandatory for each club and must take place before the start of the press conference. According to recent changes in the Law of Ukraine, the match organizer acts as the official broadcaster.”
“We are very disappointed that more than 620 thousand spectators who watched this game did not hear the acting commentary. head coach of Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky. Considering that paragraph 7 of Article 50 states that if the head coach or football player fails to appear for a flash interview, disciplinary sanctions will be applied to the club. Therefore, let the relevant bodies of Ukrainian football assess the situation.”
