On Monday, November 27, the famous Ukrainian journalist Igor Tsyganyk, in his program “Tsyganyk LIVE,” criticized the play of Shakhtar midfielder Georgy Sudakov.
This happened after the Pitmen drew with Polissya (0:0) in the Ukrainian Premier League.
“Sudakov, as soon as he crosses the center of the field and is met quite harshly, he gets lost. I would advise taking the Juventus jersey off Sudakov, because it seems to me that he has been playing in it for several weeks or even more,” Tsyganyk said.
“The Sudakov who was last year is not there. No. Maybe there is no Mudryk, no one to give to, no one to interact with in Shakhtar. But this is not at all the level of a football player who can claim to be the leader of a top-level European club team. And playing in the national team convinced me of this. Take off his Juventus shirt. Otherwise we will lose.”
And these words clearly reached George himself, because after the victorious match with Antwerp (1:0) in the Champions League, he posted two photos on Instagram Stories.
The first photo was a screenshot of Tsyganyk’s broadcast criticizing Sudakov. And on the second – the footballer himself, sitting in a Shakhtar T-shirt after the game and holding the club emblem in his hand. He succinctly captioned this photo: “As you can see, I’m wearing a Shakhtar T-shirt.”
