Georgian Merab Dvalishvili (17-4) defeated former UFC champion in two weight categories, American Henry Cejudo (16-4).
The bantamweight bout took place on the night of Sunday, February 18, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, USA as part of the UFC 298 tournament.

In the first round, Cejudo managed to shake Dvalishvili with a left to the head, but he resisted and soon scored a takedown himself. Nevertheless, in the initial period of the confrontation, the American still had the initiative on the ground.

From the second round, the Georgian fighter began to put more pressure on his opponent. He landed a lot of strikes, scored takedowns and was successful in wrestling.
As a result, the judges gave Dvalishvili the victory by unanimous decision with a score of 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.
In this fight, the Georgian fighter was supported in the front row by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

For Dvalishvili, this victory was the tenth in a row in the UFC, and Cejudo stated before the fight that he was going to retire if he lost.
