The Ukrainian public television and radio company “Suspilne Movlennya” introduced on Monday, January 15, a survey in the “Diya” application. Starting today, Ukrainians have the opportunity to determine the composition of the jury for the National Selection for Eurovision 2024.
According to suspilne.media, voting for candidates will continue for a week, from January 15 to 10:00 on January 22. On Saturday, February 3, the selected jury, together with the audience, will determine the artist who will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2024 in Malmo, Sweden. Note that the city has already hosted the music championship twice – in 1992 and 2013.
Who to vote for and how to do it in “Diya”
Anyone over 14 years of age can participate in the survey.. To do this, you need to enter the “Action” application, select the “Services” and “Surveys” sections. The jury will consist of three artists who received the most votes. You can cast your vote for one of 9 candidates:
1. Alexander Varenitsa is a PR specialist and co-founder of the Go West agency, aimed at promoting Ukrainian music on the world market. Three times recognized as the best music journalist by Kyiv Music Days and Karabas Live Awards. He also collaborated with the groups Kalush, ONUKA and O.Torvald during Eurovision 2017.
2. Andrey Danilko, People's Artist of Ukraine and creator of the image of VERKA SERDUCHKA, is a Eurovision star who has been winning the hearts of audiences for 30 years. He is the author of songs, miniatures, instrumental works and director of his own shows, and was also a member of the jury of the national selection for Eurovision (2016-2020).
3. Jamala, winner of Eurovision 2016 and WIBA 2022 award, is recognized as one of the most influential influencers in the world. In 2023, she was included in the top three most popular artists on Spotify's EQUAL Global playlist.
4. Elena Kolyadenko, director of the dance group Freedom Ballet and producer of the Freedom Jazz and KADNAY groups, is a choreographer and director of performances by Ukrainian artists at Eurovision and other television shows.
5. Ekaterina Pavlenko, folklorist and frontwoman of the group Go_A, which won 5th place in the Eurovision 2021 final in Rotterdam.
6. Sergei Tanchynets, leader of the rock group “BEZ OBMEZHEN” and Honored Artist of Ukraine, multiple winner of the YUNA, “Golden Firebird” music awards, M1 Music Awards and others, took part in the show “X-Factor” and “Dancing with Stars” .
7. Evgeniy Triplov, author and music producer for such Ukrainian artists as Tina Karol, MONATIK, ZLATA OGNEVICH, Wellboy, Anna Trincher and others, is also the showrunner of the musical reality show “MULTITREK”.
8. Evgeniy Khmara, composer and virtuoso pianist, author of 7 studio albums and member of the National Jury of Ukraine at Eurovision 2023.
9. Pavel Shilko, known as DJ Pasha, is a television and radio host, co-founder and general producer of the YUNA music award. He is also a co-author of Tina Karol and Verka Serduchka's Eurovision songs.
