Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, announced the opening of an educational division, Tether Edu, to develop skills in the field of blockchain and digital technologies..
Tether Edu will focus on courses and workshops in the field of blockchain, design, artificial intelligence (AI) and programming. As part of this initiative, Tether will be able to accelerate the adoption of the USDT stablecoin to change the economic landscape. Tether Edu intends to enter the markets of Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, the CIS countries and Asia.
Tether management said it plans to create a comprehensive educational environment in collaboration with industry experts. In addition to independent educational activities, Tether Edu will coordinate existing projects in the Tether ecosystem, continuing partnerships with the Academy of Digital Industry in Georgia and the Thai crypto exchange Bitkub, and will also continue to finance Plan B Summer School in the Swiss city of Lugano.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino noted that USDT and similar financial instruments go beyond ordinary transactions. He called stablecoins catalysts that can rewrite the entire history of the economy, so education and exchange of experience play a significant role.
“The Tether Edu project is truly dear to me. No, this is not just another blockchain course.. Tether Edu strives to create a comprehensive international educational and technical platform where online training takes place in various industries,” Ardoino wrote.
Last year, Ripple also partnered with the University of Toronto to conduct educational seminars, research and technical developments related to blockchain. In the fall, the Moscow Financial and Industrial University “Synergy” announced the emergence of a separate department of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, where students are promised to be taught programming smart contracts.
