The Near Foundation, the organization behind the Near protocol, has launched two new products designed to provide web3 developers with more efficient tools for blockchain development.
The Near Foundation has announced a partnership with Polygon Labs to create zkWASM, a zero-knowledge verifier for WebAssembly blockchains. The goal of the collaboration is to make zkWASM available to those working with the Polygon Chain Development Kit, a software development kit for building Ethereum-compatible networks. The move makes Near Foundation a key member of the Polygon CDK and improves robust interoperability between Near, Ethereum and the broader web3 ecosystem, the company said in a statement.
“The zkWASM collaboration brings together Polygon Labs' innovative zero-knowledge R&D and the expertise of the WASM Near Foundation, positioning this ZK solution at the forefront of the Web3 market,” the company said in a statement.
Data Availability
In addition, the Near Foundation also released its Near Data Availability layer to make Ethereum aggregate data available to developers, eliminating the high cost of publishing data.
“L1 NEAR operates with 100% uptime for over three years, so it can offer true reliability to projects that require secure DA while being cost-effective,” Near Foundation co-founder Ilya Polosukhin said in a statement.. “NEAR provides great solutions for developers no matter what stack they are running on, and it now includes the modular Ethereum blockchain landscape.”
