The Ukrainian national team continues its path to the 2024 European Championship. 17 participants of the future forum are already known, but our team will still have to “sweat” to join their ranks.
ISPORT analyzed all the possible ways for our team to achieve success and reach the Euro.
Option No. 1 – via the play-offs of Path A: Wales revenge
So far only the Polish team (and Estonia) have qualified for the playoffs via Path A. Also, there will definitely be either Croatia or Wales, who are performing in the same group and one of them will not be able to qualify for the Euro directly (the Welsh have a high chance of not qualifying).
To fill this path, one team will be selected by lot between Finland, Ukraine and Iceland. If it's us, our playoff bracket will probably look like this:

Option No. 2 – through the playoffs of Path A, but with the Croats
But if Croatia cannot qualify for the Euro (for this it is necessary not to beat Armenia and for Wales to win the match against the Turks), then the bracket for Ukraine will be slightly different.
The pairs of semi-finalists are distributed according to the Nations League rating, and therefore Croatia will be the best team and the playoff bracket will then look like this:
Croatia – Estonia / Poland – Ukraine

Option No. 3 – through the playoffs of path B without Finland
If the draw “selects” the Finnish team to participate in the Playoffs of Path A, then our opponent in the semi-finals will be the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Israel – Iceland / Bosnia and Herzegovina – Ukraine

Option No. 4 – through the playoffs of path B without Iceland
If the draw “selects” the Icelandic team to participate in the Playoffs of Path A, then our opponent in the semi-finals will be the Israeli team, because Ukraine will be the weakest team in this path according to the Nations League ranking.
Israel – Ukraine / Bosnia and Herzegovina – Finland
