One of the most important technical features of the MC-21 is that it became the world's first narrow-body, medium-haul airliner with a composite wing.. The composite is lighter than metal with the same strength, and it also does not collapse over time under the influence of cyclic loads.
“ The shape of our wing is a horizontal tip ,” said Andrei Yashutin. He also explained that the MC-21's wing is thinner and narrower than any traditional metal wing, and it is also very long. “ Perhaps the longest in its class ,” added Andrei Yashutin.
If we talk about comfort, then the MC-21 has the widest fuselage in the class (and, accordingly, a more spacious interior), and it also has the largest windows in the class.. And the MS-21 also has more spacious luggage racks.
