A new world record has been set for driving a car through a gap that is half its overall width: a Ford Ranger Raptor slipped into an 88-centimeter hole and did not even scratch the body.
Pilot Paul Swift, driving a Ford Ranger Raptor, put the car on two wheels because of an artificial springboard and, contrary to the laws of physics, in an incredible tilt, drove the almost two-meter wide car (1917 mm) into a hole of only 88 centimeters between installed high chips.
Thus, the famous British stuntman Paul Swift added another Guinness record to his collection. This is the smallest “gate” a pickup truck on two wheels has ever cleared.
Swift achieved his victory as part of the Guinness Book of Records Day. The record was determined by measuring the width of the gap between the two obstacles he had to overcome relative to the height of the truck he was driving. According to this indicator, he surpassed the previous record by only one centimeter.
And although it looks very simple in a short video, in reality the stuntman faced a lot of difficulty. He achieved his record after long training, and on the day the achievement was recorded, he successfully drove between the chips after several unsuccessful attempts.

As the pilot himself notes, the wind became a serious obstacle for the driver.. In addition, the choice of vehicle itself added difficulties. But I got used to it.
Due to the size and weight of the vehicle, Swift and his team had to reinforce the ramp that lifted the left side of the vehicle into the air. In addition, the height of the suspension made it difficult for the pickup to stand on two wheels.. However, the rugged design of the off-road machine proved that a pilot could put it on wheels.
The stuntman has a number of other records in his category. Rimac recently set a Guinness World Record for speed in reverse. Other achievements include the tightest parallel parking in an electric car, the shortest time to perform five car stunts, etc.
